Antoni Gaudí, 25 June 1852 - Barcelona, 10 June 1926) was a Catalan architect. He designed striking buildings and objects around 1900, especially in Barcelona, of which the Sagrada Família is the best known. Gaudi's work can be seen in the world-famous Park Guel in Barcelona, which offers the visitor a breathtaking visual experience. In addition, there are several buildings in Barcelona designed by Gaudi. He is considered a founder of organic architecture. His work falls under art nouveau/jugendstil. In Catalonia this style is called Catalan modernism.
