Dr. Barbara Freundlieb

The ins and outs of human nature and an ironic look on herself inspire her drawings.

A few years ago, Barbara Freundlieb, born in the Rhineland, found her way into painting and illustrating. After starting a family in Krefeld, the doctor of biology began her artistic training at private art schools. She regularly organizes exhibitions, illustrates books, poems and puts on paper everything she comes across in daily life.

The observation of the human, the interpersonal and a detached view of herself are the inspiration for her drawings. Bringing everyday situations to life with a sharpened pencil on white paper is always exciting for her.
