One of his paintings gave the name to the art movement to which we owe the most beautiful landscape paintings in history: Impressionism. Claude Monet (1840 - 1926) liked to paint in the open air.
One of his paintings gave the name to the art movement to which we owe the most beautiful landscape paintings in history: Impressionism. Monet liked to paint in the open air. Like no other, he succeeded in capturing the magic of the moment in his photographs and captured it on canvas forever: the play of the sun's rays on reflective water surfaces, light and shadow in the leaves of trees or the bright colours of a summer garden.
